An environmental activist from Extinction Rebellion gives a thumbs up from a veteran oak tree close to the Harvil Road wildlife protection camp in order to try to protect it from felling. HS2 are expected to try to fell large numbers of mature trees in the immediate vicinity over the weekend even though the high-speed rail link is still awaiting Boris Johnson’s approval.

An anti-HS2 activist gives a thumbs up during a large security operation by bailiffs from the National Eviction Team (NET) and Thames Valley Police to remove four of them from a makeshift tower in Denham Country Park where they had been seeking to delay electricity pylon relocation works by Babcock in connection with the HS2 project.

The Jones’ Hill Wood camp, one of several protest camps set up by anti-HS2 activists along the route of the £106bn HS2 high-speed rail link in order to resist the controversial infrastructure project, is currently being evicted by National Eviction Team bailiffs working on behalf of HS2 Ltd.
