Works planned in the immediate vicinity include the felling of trees and the construction of a Bailey bridge, compounds and fencing, some of which in a wetland nature reserve adjacent to a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation (SMI).

The activists were successful in preventing any of the scheduled tree felling by HS2 and after an intervention by a police officer all tree felling work has now been cancelled for the weekend.
