Large police operation for HS2 to remove alder tree, Denham, UK

Denham, UK. 24 July, 2020. A police officer from Hampshire Police Marine Support Unit pushes a female activist from HS2 Rebellion from the river Colne where she had been trying to hinder the destruction of an ancient mature alder tree in connection with works for the HS2 high-speed rail link in Denham Country Park. A large policing operation involving the Metropolitan Police, Thames Valley Police, City of London Police and Hampshire Police as well as the National Eviction Team was put in place to enable HS2 to remove the tree.
