Wendover, UK. 17 July, 2020. A tree platform, net, yurt and tents at Wendover Active Resistance Camp. Environmental activists from groups including Stop HS2 and HS2 Rebellion continue to protest against HS2, which is currently projected to cost £106bn and which will remain a net contributor to CO2 emissions during its projected 120-year lifespan, primarily on environmental and economic grounds.
