Datchet, UK. 30 June, 2019. A 1904 Humberette takes part in the 48-mile Ellis Journey from Micheldever station near Winchester to Datchet, a reenactment of the first recorded journey by a motorised carriage in England undertaken by pioneer automobilist Hon. Evelyn Ellis in his new, custom-built Panhard-Levassor on 5th July 1895. The original journey took place in contravention of the law because the Panhard exceeded a speed of 4mph and was not preceded by an attendant walking with a red flag.
