London, UK. 17 June, 2019. An aircraft on the final approach to Heathrow airport passes over houses in Hounslow. On 18th June, Heathrow will publish its airspace and future operations consultation on its “master plan” for Heathrow expansion following approval in principle of a third runway by MPs last year. Heathrow is expected to increase the number of flights from the current cap of 480,000 per year imposed when Terminal 5 was built to 505,000 per year in 2021 and to 740,000 per year should a third runway be constructed.
