Wendover, UK. 16th June, 2021. A 'receptor site' into which contractors working for HS2 Ltd have transferred soils and 'woodland items' from ancient woodland immediately behind at Jones Hill Wood. Works for the HS2 high-speed rail link continue and a large section of the ancient woodland, which contained resting places and/or breeding sites for pipistrelle, barbastelle, noctule, brown long-eared and natterer’s bats, has now been entirely cleared of trees and vegetation.
