Harefield, UK. 8 February, 2020. Environmental activists from Extinction Rebellion hold on to the branches of trees in order to prevent HS2 engineers from using a chainsaw to carry out tree felling works for the high-speed rail project. The activists were successful in preventing any of the scheduled tree felling by HS2 and after an intervention by a police officer all tree felling and strimming work has now been cancelled for the weekend.
