Wendover, UK. 16th June, 2021. Felled trees from ancient woodland at Jones Hill Wood in Buckinghamshire are pictured as works for the HS2 high-speed rail link continue. A large section of the ancient woodland, which contained resting places and/or breeding sites for pipistrelle, barbastelle, noctule, brown long-eared and natterer’s bats, has now been entirely cleared of trees and vegetation by contractors working on behalf of HS2 Ltd.
